Community Consultation

LDP Planning is able to arrange and host community consultation events aimed at obtaining local views and involving local communities in the decision making process.

Community consultation involves the mobilisation of local stakeholders and groups to give their opinion on important local issues and giving local residents the oportunity to provide views on issues of local interest.  We are able to involve Ward Councillors, Members of Parliament, Parish Councils and Local Planning Authorities in the decision making process through written correspondence and meetings.  We are then able to organise community consultation events such as Public Meetings and/or Community Drop in Sessions which give local communities a forum within which local opinion can be given.

Once local views are obtained we are able to collate the opinions given and influence the direction of development based on the desires of local communities and stakeholders.  We have recently undertaken or are in the process of undertaking the following community consultation events:

  • Church Fenton Airbase (Community Consultation and Public Meeting)
  • Germany Beck, Fulford, York (Community Consultation and Public Meeting)
  • Forge Lane Quarry (Drop in Session and Presentation to Local Ward Member and relevant stakeholders)
  • Aberford Village Hall (Ongoing)
